Examples of what you can do with ScoopGO!
1. Scoop
world news: searches the latest news headlines of your choice
The first step is to decide on which sources (websites) you trust and want
to include in your Scoop. Then, get the "feed urls" from those website
(what are feeds?). Then simply choose
"create Scoop" from the menu (left top, after registering). Give your Scoop
a name - in this case simply "world news" - and let ScoopGO! know what feeds
you want to search. We chose the feeds mentioned below for this Scoop, but
you can choose any feed from any website you like:
» http://www.cnn.com/rss/cnn_topstories.rss (CNN topstories)
» http://news.bbc.co.uk/rss/newsonline_world_edition/front_page/rss091.xml (BBC topstories)
» http://rss.news.yahoo.com/rss/us (Yahoo news topstories)
» http://today.reuters.com/rss/topnews (Reuters topstories)
» http://rss.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032091/device/rss/rss.xml (MSNBC headlines)
With this Scoop, we can quickly search through the news from these sites. Realtime.
Whenever we need quick news about things going on in the world, we use this Scoop.
And handy as well: the
dashboard
for this Scoop helps us to stay informed.
2. Scoop

ScoopGO! is not just a personal search engine for news. You can in fact search
any website that has a feed. For example, it is possible to use ScoopGO! to stay up to
date on new interesting jobs that you are looking for.
For example, if you are looking for an e-commerce job in New York, you could add
all the feeds that contain those jobs to your Scoop. Some examples below of feeds
that search specifically for ecommerce jobs in the New York area:
» http://rss.jobsearch.monster.com/rssquery.ashx?fn=554&lid=550&cy=us&WT.mc_n=RSS2005_JSR (Monsterboard)
» http://hotjobs.yahoo.com/rss/0/USA/NY/-/NEW/ecommerce (Yahoo Hotjobs)
» http://www.totaljobs.com/JobSearch/RSS.aspx?Keywords=ecommerce<xt=New+York&Radius=0&LIds3=Ih (Totaljobs)
